Dearest Shenandoah Springs Family,

Though we continue to miss Doug and grieve his loss, we are moving forward with camp and retreat plans for 2023.  Doug’s passion for camping ministry as an avenue to bring both children and adults to Christ never wavered and we look forward to honoring his legacy by ensuring Shenandoah Springs remains a vibrant and attractive camp and retreat center for generations to come.

This period of transition will not be easy, but our son Mark and daughter Beth have taken up the torch and accepted the mantle of responsibility that goes with such a great undertaking.  Additionally, many key volunteers have come along side us to assist in developing new programs, additional camp weeks, and renovations of existing facilities.  This is truly an exciting time, and I am filled with hope and joy as I witness the Spirit of the Lord moving in this place.

Let me share just a few of the exciting things taking place.

Above all, we are committed to serving the Lord and bringing others to Him.  This is why we exist!

Shenandoah Springs will be partnering with “Renewing Hope” and “Vector 7 Ministries” to provide camp and retreat opportunities to foster children and Military families from around the world.  The statistics for the success of foster children after they age out of the system is alarmingly poor. In addition, Military families need a place to come to and we believe we can help by creating a sense of “home” for these children and young adults.

Camp Shenandoah Springs is applying for tax exemption status under section 501(c)3 of the IRS code.  This will permit your donations and contributions to the camp ministry to be tax deductible and will be a necessary measure to ensure the ministry is properly resourced.

As we look forward to 2024, our intent is to host multiple summer camps and to broaden our outreach through focused weekend retreats and learning opportunities in addition to hosting weddings, baptisms, conferences, banquets, and reunions. To make this a reality, we need your support.  My hope is that you will you consider making a monthly pledge of $40 or more.

The future is bright!  Thank you for the outpouring of support that has been given to me following Doug’s passing.  His reach and impact were far and wide.   My prayer is that you will continue to bless us with your support through your prayers, your presence, and your gifts.

May God Bless You,

Anne Farmer
